Father Sky Mother Earth - Father Sky Mother Earth

Some beautiful instrumental post-rock/metal. The build ups take quite long but are nice.

Pray For Sound - Everything Is Beautiful

Jolly good Instrumental prog from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Long Distance Calling comes to mind when listening to this.

Kylver - The Island

Some metal-influenced jazz from Chicago, Illinois. Featuring the members who played in the bands Yakuza, Bloodiest, Discordance Axis, Municipal Waste and Keelhaul.

Brain Tentacles - Brain Tentacles

Stoner doom from Spain with female vocals. Love that colorful old-school video game boss/early mastodon like artwork.

Grajo - Grajo

Brain Tentacles is pretty tentacool.

Lulz, thought you would find it too technical or something and ignore it.

Thankfully it's not in the sterile tech-death vein. Seems nice and weird. Not always into jazzy stuff either but I like the sound they're going for.

Funny thing I had a deju vu that I've heard some of their earlier stuff like an ep or something but this is first release. Oh well, anyway have some nice crust dm from Athens.

Very punky blackened thrash metal.

Not sure what to call this precisely. Its like experimental sludge doom/noise.

Yeah T.O.A.D as they were previously known are excellent. Loved their Rotten Tide ep and the last 2 albums for utter filthy sludge metal.

Not sure why this is on MA, maybe the first EP is metal in some way, or because its sole member is in Furia and Massamord, but I really like it. Probably best described as some kind of gothic folk music, albeit one steeped in ambience and atmospherics. Don't totally love the vocals but they aren't terrible either.

The new Wrekmeister Harmonies has also been up in full for a while now so finally got round to that. Unfortunately compared to that SINK record it feels pretty underwhelming at this point, probably because it feels like a watered down retread of what they've done for the past few albums now; too much in the way of predictable progressions from acoustic ambience following into sludge and drone and back again. Not bad though.

Yeah I haven't gone back to it since. Maybe ok if you haven't heard the band before, but not their finest hour.

Bong playing black metal:

Experimental black metal from Russia. I fricking adore the sound of it!

Very raw and murky blackened doom. Love the almost gargantuan heavy riffs. This is from the same label as that awesome Hands of Thieves album Joe posted. Only this is much more rawer and doomier.

Balls-y doom. Me likes. Might sound a bit uplifting as well but I find it just doom enough to enjoy.

Spirit Adrift - Chained To Oblivion

Dark and heavy deafheaven worship. Quite good.

Sun Worship - Pale Dawn

Yes that was a damn good album. Started checking out the first few tracks but couldn't stop listening and finished it effortlessly.
