An odd technical question: any idea why I can't change my name back to IronAngel with the proper capitalization? It must have accidentally changed when I updated my profile earlier. Now when I try to change it again (also in the log-in field) it defaults back to ironangel the moment I leave the name field. It's like some automatic spellchecker, except it only happens on MS. I cleared my cookies to no effect.

I'm not having any issues capitalizing and uncapitalizing my username. If still suffering this issue then try PM'ing Ivan directly about this, no clue how long it might take him to look in this thread since a lot of the questions asked in here don't require his attention or involvement.

Still have this odd problem? I myself don't experience any problem when capitalizing & anti-capitalizing names back and forth.

Couldn't figure it out, but I realized I could just do it on my laptop. Had something to do wth my browser/PC, then.

Yes but in add album what was relised under old name, write in add notes , this album was relised under (old name)

Usually we only do this when the band only released demo material under old band name but in this case since was only one demo and one LP and, from what I can tell, all the same members went into Blackshine together it's ok to go ahead and add the info from Hetsheads; saves us from having to add a whole new profile for just a demo and a single LP of a band that is technically already in our system.

And yes, not us not turn into MA bitches who create a new profile for a new name.

That's a slightly different situation. They were forced to change under threat of legal recourse by the Swedish EBM group and they re-released both Covenant albums under the name The Kovenant.

See Dred > Ouroboros or even ...And Oceans > Havoc Unit for name change split profiles in which an LP was released and there were diff musicians between the 2 incarnations of the same band.

Well anyway many bands release material under another name, and I don't think there's any reason to create new band profiles for such reasons (Unless it's clearly another band).

Eh, not my rule. I totally agree with single profile when only demo material was released under the old name (or even for bands like Blackshine) but I'm ok with split profiles for situations like Ouroboros and Havoc Unit.

Can't think of any good examples at the moment. But I do think it's not right to create another profile if a band Just changes the name.

Personally I think both Ouroboros and Havoc Unit ARE perfect examples. Both old band names feature members that had nothing to do with new band name or style.

In Ouroboros' case the main songwriter left before the name change so Glorification of a Myth suffers the same issue as the first 2 Metallica albums in which most (if not all) of the material was written by somebody not in the band anymore. Denis Vlachiotis wrote most of the material on Glorification before he left under the old name and if you listen to the old Dred songs, his solo material and compare it to Glorification it's very obvious that the style of that album still features heavily the technique and style of Denis Vlachiotis. So their next album I imagine will sound considerably different unless Chris Jones plans to emulate the shit out of Denis Vlachiotis' technique and style for another album, which I imagine he and the new guy are going to want to utilize their own techniques and styles for the next album since it will be COMPLETELY void of any and all Denis Vlachiotis influence.

And Havoc Unit sounds nothing like ...And Oceans, they may be the same guys and they claim to have just changed band names but they might as well be 2 different bands.

Some times ago there was an idea to work on an application for smartphones.. Is it still a possible future app or it's discontinued?!

I'd like to know, if it's possible to "register" somewhere, so I can receive an email, with a list of upcoming albums?

That way, I could be informed of which album is coming out in a certain week and/or month!

No, we don't have anywhere to sign up for email notifications. You would have to hover over NEWS & EVENTS at the very top then click on either "New releases" or "Upcoming releases" to see what's new and what's coming.

When the person quoted you, did they quote somebody else in the same post first or were you the only person that user quoted? And if you don't mind what List were you quoted in where you didn't get a Notification?

Yes, it happened when they quoted someone else too, like in "Ayreon Albums: Best To Worst" and "The Best Gothic "Beauty And The Beast" Albums".

So the reason for it is because of how the Notifications are generated, so only the person that you hit "Quote" on will get a Notification.

Or your eddits, news, concert revievs are rejected, accepted , or friend upload a pic, or b day you get nottifcation to

She isn't referring to those Notifications. Only why she wasn't getting notifications when she was quoted by someone who was quoting multiple users in one post.

I don't know for sure but I assume it's probably because you're not adding the full date; mm/dd/yyyy. Find the month and day then try again to see if that works.

I'm about 95% positive that you need the full date in order to add birthday and dethday.
