Some nice blackened folk metal with theme of norse mythology, what's not to like? Yeah, it's nothing new and vocals could perhaps be better but it still works wonders for me. Album cover art is nice too.

Heorot is some kind of mead-hall in old poem which tells a tale about King Hrothgar, a legendary Danish king.

This is a pretty impressive solo project and a very well made album. It has some great instrumentation, with nice folky melodies, impressive synth work, and intriguing songwriting.

"The Ninth Hour Approaches" is the clear highlight for me, it has a very epic feel similar to Moonsorrow, and the guitarwork is outstanding!
