"Heavy metal" is over-simplification for this band. Although it's not so simple task to do it properly either... industrial, gothic, heavy, ...

It's not heavy metal in the traditional sense, there are various styles being played, and no song sounds the same, some songs are relatively soft, yet others heavy. I hear folk influences at times, but also an Industrial effect in parts too. The vocals aren't my cup of tea, it makes this sound like a heavy metal version of Korpiklaani at times, which is slightly off putting, but then you hear harsh vocals on occasions too, which is surprising.

For me the songwriting is a bit all over the place, and there aren't many songs that impress me that much, the title track is my favourite song, the main riff sounded like it was copied from Metallica's "One". Some tasty solo's make up for the songwriting for me too, aswel as some very good drumming in parts, but overall the album just doesn't quite do it for me.

This kind of surprised me. I remember when I first heard this band I thought it was kind of boring. This seems alright. I might have to relisten to them.
