Usually I'm strictly thrash, but lately I've been throwing in some older influences into my playing. Uriah Heep and Diamond Head mainly.

Thrash, Heavy, Speed and Power/Prog mostly.

Progressive Metal and Progressive Rock all the way.

Melodic Death Metal and Folk Metal are my top picks.

I'm playing Thrash Metal the majority of the time.

My style's pretty much some sort of thrash-death-prog mix.

I'm not a guitar player but i like playing guitar! i like writing fast DM riffs and some intros!!!

I'm originaly a thrasher, but recently I joined a prog-metal band so I play prog most of the time. Maybe in a few years you'll hear about us, who knows...

Well i voted for thrash although i think people should play diffrent style of music so they can advance in playing an instrument they play.

Prog and avant garde. I like my music to be a little different

I started out with classic rock, blues, and folk, but now I play more metal. So Probably Heavy Metal as my main stile, but I through in other rock and metal stiles.

I try to incorperate all types heavy metal into my music, but my main style of music I try to play is Thrash. Im into anything Heavy, Fast, and Loud really.

I try to incorporate a wide range of styles into my playing and although I would personally classify a lot of the things I write and play as experimental, there are definitely influences from the listed genres; among others.

Mostly the Old School Death Metal riffs fly all over the room, but sometimes I even play something Rockabilly or Garage Rock. But my alternate picking capabilities don't reach very far (I can do that for 10 seconds at normal speed...). I have to practise that, any tips?

Oddly ive been experimenting with alot of hardcore influences and emotions and atmospheres << but in general still smashing out my style of DM with the band.

I play a mix of rock/metal/thrash/alternative/melodic... ..... original songs; when I play covers it's also kinda varied: Disturbed, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Evanescence, Rammstein, Dimmu Borgir, Static X, etc......

A mix, really. Some Metallica and Slayer riffs, a few Maiden, some Immortal, two Death and Cannibal Corpse songs, some Amon Amarth... To be honest, I haven't been playing anything new recently. I am focusing on composing my first Death Metal song.

Definitely a mix of all, it's normal most people do that, otherwise it would be kinda boring just to play one single style every time. I like to vary as much as my mood varies. It's been working so far.

I have that problem too.

Most of the stuff that i play and write is a crossover between thrash metal and hardcore punk. Stuff like kind of like Slayer, Wehrmacht, S.O.D., ect.
