White Wedding by Sentenced - the best driving song, it just never gets old! A perfect example of how so much music out there would sound so much better if it was just a little bit heavier.

Smalltown Boy by Paradise Lost - didn't realise this was a cover until I heard a girl singing this song on the radio and thought what the... and that wasn't even the original but it prompted me to do some Googling.

Tainted Love by Marilyn Manson - don't know if this qualifies as metal but c'mon... it's a sexy party song, no?

And saving the best for last...

I'm Sorry by Evergrey - sigh! I would be putty in the hands of any guy who could sing like Tom.

Yes, it definitely sounds alot more powerful, Lemmys gruesome voice sets a better atmosphere than James' IMO.

Moonsorrow's cover for Metallica's "for whom the bell tolls" is better than the original I think...

The Meads Of Asphodel made a cover of Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong...even with some new lyrics...quite nice piece of calm music (medieval black metal band), unfortunately only 2 minutes long (or more likely short)
