Behemoth covered Danzig's "Until You Call on the Dark", that's a pretty good song and an excellent cover.

Sepultura's cover of Symptom of the universe (Sabbath) At the gates cover of captor of sin (Slayer) Crowbars cover of No Quarter (Zepplin) They are all great...unlike bodoms cover of slayers silent scream. i like some bodom but didn't like that It's still a lot fucking better than a trivium or BFMV cover though...jesus christ!

I don't like the cover of The Trooper by Sentenced at all! All the covers that Therion made are awesome! Especially Thor (The Powerhead) - Manowar, Fly to the Rainbow - Scorpions, Here Come the Tears - Judas Priest, Sorrows of the Moon - Celtic Frost, Summernight City - Abba...

I kind of like Megadeth's Paranoid cover. Metallica does a good one of Blitzkrieg, an alright one of Last Caress, and an unworthy one of Am I Evil?.

I'll add to those people listing non-metal songs being covered by metal bands, I don't think anyone's posted these yet but I apologise if you have! White Wedding by Sentenced - the best driving song, it just never gets old! A perfect example of how so much music out there would sound so much better if it was just a little bit heavier. Smalltown Boy by Paradise Lost - didn't realise this was a cover until I heard a girl singing this song on the radio and thought what the... and that wasn't even the original but it prompted me to do some Googling. Tainted Love by Marilyn Manson - don't know if this qualifies as metal but c'mon... it's a sexy party song, no? And saving the best for last... I'm Sorry by Evergrey - sigh! I would be putty in the hands of any guy who could sing like Tom.

//I like Judas Priest's cover of Diamonds and Rust...Even though it wasnt a metal song before, they made it kinda metal. Also Metallica's cover of Am I Evil? by Diamond Head and Blitzkreig by Blitzkreig//

Motorhead covering 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica. Hell, I think the 'Head version blows the original out of the water.

The Meads Of Asphodel made a cover of Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong...even with some new lyrics...quite nice piece of calm music (medieval black metal band), unfortunately only 2 minutes long (or more likely short)

"Mr. Sandman" - Blind Guardian "Oops I Did It Again" - Children Of Bodom "Wind Beneath My Wings" - Sonata Arctica "I Need A Hero" - Graveworm Any covers that were originally non-Metal, then made Metal. With the exeption of "One Is The Lonliest Number" by Mastodon. That cover is just bad.
