Stoner/Sludgy styled metal has never been for me really, but I kind of like these albums. pretty good.

Yellow's worth an 8, while Green's more of a 6.

Took me a really long time to not hate this, but even still I just can't appreciate what they were aiming for here.

The first time I listened to this, I didn't pay attention to the fact my files didn't have the proper disc tags. Everything played in the wrong other, and I was wondering why I found it both boring and very inconsistent. No matter how many times I try to get into it, I still end up switching to Blue or Red after three tracks.

Absolutely love the yellow side, haven't really heard the green side.

I remember when I was stupid and didn't like this. I still think there's some filler and throwaway tracks, but overall I think this is a good album.

After reading along to it and seeing them play it live, I can tell this was a very heartfelt album reflecting some dark issues in John's life. Eula is probably one of their best songs ever and really strikes a chord in my emotions.

March to the Sea and Cocainium are both pretty dark songs that stand out to me as well. When I first listened to this I simply dismissed it because it didn't sound like the Red and Blue albums, but in a way it still resembles their core style. It took me a while to adapt to the change and when I did the darker stories of their songs started resonating in a completely different way than their past material ever did.

I love those songs. They translated very well live and the harmonies between John and Pete were pretty good; better than the tour for the Blue Album.

Gonna spend some time watching live performances on Youtube for the next little while, thanks for the reminder.
