Even though when I saw Hate open up for Mayhem a year or so ago I thought they were a local Behemoth cover band, and despite the fact that this album here sounds a bit like a collection of tracks cut from Evangelion, Hate deserves some credit. They've been playing generic and derivative sounding shit since, at the latest, 1996 when they released Daemon Qui Fecit Terram. They're not just Behemoth wannabe newbs.

Don't know if its better than Erebos... anyway I love the "climatic inserts".

Just like Erebos a very medicore release. Before Erebos at least Hate mroe or less had a sound of their own now they just copy Behemoth it seems.

I wouldn't say they ever had "their own" sound, but their debut is easily their best (even if it's nothing stellar).
I have yet to listen to this, but I've no doubt I'm going to agree with Marcel

It's good, it's solid, but I am left wanting... more. Pretty low replay value, I have to say.
EDIT: It gets worse with every listen. Speed and performance notwithstanding, nothing of substance.

Huge disappointment here. From my POV having loved mighty Erebos I thought this collection had few riffs that I could get into and too much slow paced ding-dong-ding-dong choruses. The groove is gone and the death metal is just not anything special. I've listened 2-3 times now and gonna have to put it away for a bit.
