This stuff actually puts me in a foul mood. I start wanting to break shit. The worst is when I'm at work and I've been tolerating an employee's grating noise for 2 hours just to be polite and I go switch it to something like Muse in an attempt to take the edge off myself while not offending anyone elses tastes, and they immediately change it back to whatever horrible shit they were listening to. This happened once and I got so pissed a threw a thick beer glass at the stereo and broke it (the stereo and the glass).

i had to work in an office as my training course last summer and fuck...there was a woman who tend to listen to radio all the time with relatively high volume and it was not even music...it was news and retarded reports...
but luckily she was not like that employee you encountered so we could handle it peacefully.

First off, no one is getting hurt by writing gore lyrics unlike "torture porn movies", so I think it is a bit unrealistic to compare it gore lyrics. Second, most people I know can't even understand the lyrics. If you don't like gore lyrics, don't look in the album booklet or online lyrics sites.

Well, it's funny, as a metalhead - someone whose music is socially inappropriate and is told so regularly - I've become very aware of how my tastes may harsh someone's mellow, so I try to keep my music to myself most of the time. But people who listen to popular music are rarely singled out like this, so they tend not consider what they're doing to other people. As far as they're concerned everybody's diggin' it.

So my co-worker may not have actually been inconsiderate, just ignorant. I'm the real asshole in that story, as it wasn't my glass of beer that I threw at the stereo. I don't drink, hahah.

I really hate rap/hip-hop these days.. the only rap artist I liked was 2Pac, he did really great stuff. All the rest can go burn in hell. And when someone talks about violence in the world and specially in US they blame metal, and violent video game lol.

At work the other day, I was trying to ignore some shitty rap "song" that my coworkers were playing when a woman's voice jumps in and starts barking "Yeah, eat my pussy nigga!" and I just burst out laughing. I mean, is she saying that as a threat? As if to suggest her physical appearance is horrid enough to make the act repulsive?
