Nocturnal Rites - In Writing Mode

Swedish metallers Nocturnal Rites have issued the following update on their official website:

"Hi everyone! We thought it was time for a fresh start. As you can see we are working on a brand new website which will be online very soon, we hope! And it will contain lots of new stuff and information for you.

We are currently writing songs for the new album and rehearsing for the gig at the Sabaton Cruise in Stockholm, 2nd of December 2010. The song-writing is going well we have lots of new material for our 9th studio album. We have some really dark and aggressive stuff written as well as some more melodic, so this new album will definitely cater to all aspects of the Nocturnal Rites legacy!

We also played some live shows with our new guitarist Chris Rörland. This guy really did a great job, entering the stage for the first time as a new member of the band and he kicked ass from the beginning to the end! Not showing any fear at all, he just went for it, crazy but still being 100% professional. Even after a few shows it feels like he's been in the band for ages. So we are extremely happy.

And we would also like to thank everyone who came to see us on our gigs since we started playing again. A big thanks to you all!

More news to follow! Keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming songs, live shows, recording session & release. Play Loud!"

Good news. Funny about the website, I visited it this week and it was still the old one.

Anyway I'm curious about this album. Of their more recent material I only know Grand Illusion, which I enjoy very much.

I've never been able to grow tired of their stuff, and I've listened to them several years now. I can however get temprorarily bored of their early stuff, tho nothing of the stuff Johnny has sung on has ever bored me. Looking forward to this, been waiting ages now!
