Devy without the Hevy leaves you with a surprisingly enjoyable experience, Townsend sheds his manic industrialised progressive metal and unleashes a calming flow of soothing tunes on Ghost. The difference between the two "project" albums this year is staggering, Deconstruction is a completely shameless exposition of the mastermind's inner quirkiness, whereas Ghost is nothing of the sort. Posts: 3857 Written by Frankthetank727 on 06.07.2012 at 23:09 I agree. I'm pretty sure all these points were, for the most part, intentionally made so by Dev when making this album. It goes along with the theme of the album. Of course, this doesn't excuse it from being less interesting though.

Similarly, artwork that deters me usually ends fronting music I dislike. I can only think of a few exceptions, such as Back To R'lyeh's The Awakening / Last Fight Of The Primordial. Ugly cover, brilliant music.

I had never stopped to listen to this one... I found it to be a very good album for what it proposes and I will definitely revisit it.
