Warbringer - Will Enter The Studio On Monday
Warbringer have been working on new material since coming off the road in late November and will be entering the recording studio on Monday, April 18th.
Producing this time will be Steve Evetts, who has an impressive resume working with bands as diverse as The Dillinger Escape Plan and Symphony X to Sepultura and Hatebreed.
Explains guitarist John Laux: "Our goal with this record is to make something beyond a run-of-the-mill metal CD. The most difficult challenge is always finding just the right balance between a raw, aggressive sound and modern production standards. We chose Evetts to produce, aside from his extensive resume, because he aims for very organic and bold sounds. His experience in bringing the best out from a wide variety from musicians across different genres of music can be seen in his credits and this speaks for itself."
The band has learned a lot in the two years since the 2009 release of Waking into Nightmares. Since the group has continued to relentlessly tour the globe with a variety of artists, becoming known as one of the hardest working bands in metal as well as a ferocious live act, and they bring all that into the creation of a third album. The new album also sees the addition of drummer Carlos Cruz, who's had a lot of input into the new material.
"Musically and thematically I feel confident that this will be respected as our most mature offering to date," states John Laux. "I am really proud of all the elements of extreme metal we have been able to incorporate into the songs. There is weight and purpose behind the lyrics and most importantly we have had time to put a lot of thought and care into the music."
Having twice as much time to write and record the album further proves this point, and the band were able to demo out a lot of ideas jamming in their garage as witnessed in the recent video from their practice session. More video reports will come from the studio as the guys lay down their tracks in the creation of their most epic metal release yet.
"Stay tuned everyone," closes John Laux before adding, "We'll be laying out a 'stone cold stunner' on you with our riffs soon enough!"
