Dechristianize was my favourite album of 2003, and although I usually favour old-school Death Metal, it's probably one of my 'top 10' albums of the genre. After the building tension of the intro track (a movie sample alongside Orff's 'O Fortuna'), the first proper song kicks in - the title track - and suddenly we're faced with energetic, vicious Death Metal, driven by breathtakingly fast snare pummeling.

I've given this album many many tries to create the following opinion:

it's boring.

it has some really great moments, especially some solos are very good, but every song is longer than it should. many riffs and "themes" are repeated much more than they should so as a result this makes the songs (and the album) really tiring....

My old comment up was stupid^. I think that was around when I first joined..

Still a great album imo. Also the band is technically from Rhode Island, a state I am most familiar with.

Whoa this is super brutal! Non-stop maximum intensity! I love especially the light-speed drumming and the occasional melodic guitar solos

Some of the tinniest production I've ever heard! But it suits it though. Some great death metal on this album, especially the title track which is one of my favourite death metal songs of all time.

This is definitely a solid record, it has a great quality sound and structure, with heavy bass and heavy riffs, the vocals are quite impressive too, although there not the best I've heard in death metal. I usually prefer a more powerful drumming sound, but the tinned sound kind of works well for this album on this occasion. The guitar solo's are what really stand out most on this album for me, but this also has one of the best intro's in death metal.
