Honestly didn't expect much from this album because up to now I had only listened to mid 90s-era Grave Digger onwards, but the debut effort is a really tasty slice of speed/heavy metal. Boltendahl's vocals I now understand have been a fitting positive boon for the band ever since they formed, and on "Heavy Metal Breakdown" he really makes the songs feel alive. My personal favourite cuts from this debut are the title track and "Legion of the Lost".

Not one of their better albums for sure. Generally the song writing on these early GD albums is very average with this album being no exception.

Great HM album but in some way its equal as others, nothing special just HM but in some way Heavy metal brakedown is bands classic. Yesterday also but I don't like it not true ballad.
