Dynazty is a Swedish band with more than 10 years of experience, but only in the last 3 or 4 years have they started to be known and go around the world more often, probably resulting from the change of label to AFM Records, which gave them more visibility and opportunities, to the extent that Nils Molin, the vocalist, was invited to join Amaranthe in 2017.
The Dark Delight is the seventh album of the band and the second with AFM Records. Coincidence or not, this album has the typical sound of the previous albums with a touch of electronic sound reminiscent of Amaranthe, which makes this album almost a clone of one Amaranthe album without the female voice. It has good and bad points; they make a well played and produced album with varied songs, although too long in my opinion, and I think the experience that Nils had in Amaranthe brought more quality to the album, but this record is too generic and without a guide line, which makes it almost a compilation of songs that Nils could use in both bands.
We can experience the variety with songs like "From Sound To Silence", the more aggressive one with GG6 giving that aggression, "Paradise Of The Architect", where we can listen a mix of the power metal style and the electronics sounds, and "Heartless Madness", one of the most typically power metal songs here with a catchy chorus.
The Dark Delight is a good album, but Dynazty didn't bring us anything new; they continue down the path started previously, but making the music sound very similar to other bands that move in the same genre "space" means that they are an option, but not a different option.
