This is an ok song. It takes a few listens to, to get the song in your head although I think if you loose the long intro it would've been an easier/better listen to. Ok song, not their best but not their worst. Be interesting to hear the album and how this fits in.

This song reminds me of the type of people that you ask a simple question and they start telling you the story of their life while it can be a yes or no. This song should have been 3 minutes long. 4:40-6:40...and also stop burying Floor's voice.

Very cool video! Song is a big improvment over their latest few albums imo.

I feel there's something off with the production. I notice it mostly in the chorus and think it's on the drums.

The song is okay, but I feel like they worked as hard as they did on the video as their music, this could be something. All of them are extremely talented musicians, but I feel like their skills are so under-utilized. Honestly, why even have a guitar player in this band anymore?

Well, looking like it's going to be a continuation of the weird tribal folk sound. I had really hoped they'd hang that sound up, but it looks like they're doubling down. My hopes for this album are pretty damn low.

Her voice was at low levels on refrain.
and it gave a boost on bass?

How else are they going to cover up the fact that for the last three albums they apparently can't write a catchy refrain to save their lives?

In and of itself, the music is great, but it's still yet another disappointment for Nightwish. The magic of the old albums is gone and replaced with his new religion of Darwinism. I hope the album after this they can get back to where they once were (of course, with a fresh twist, but a good one). The album artwork and tracks gave promise, but I see where it's headed now. This will be the end in the trilogy, so there's that to consider. The track DOES sound "compressed/flattened" or something... hard to explain, so that aspect of it is not good. And, of course, they still have Floor singing softly. She has such great range, yet they have her singing like this...

Very meh. had a huge build up that amounted to nothing. the good old lineup of the early 2000's is all but gone now. Emppu remains, but doesn't play anything new anymore. can't believe my favorite childhood (and teenage) band has come to this.

The song is ok, but there is not much making me listen to it again. Solid, but forgottable. The video is interesting though, a lot of effort was put into it.

Wall of sound hits again. It is like with newspaper headlines, when everything is bombastic, nothing really is. Nightwish are better served live that is what saves them for me. But not a bad song, for a single it is actually better than usuall.

Still hate that album title. 'Perfume of the Timeless' would make for a way better album title. "Yesterwynde" looks and sounds like something you'd get generated on a fantasy name generator on a Geocities site.

Getting through the entire song is truly a chore, as it is one of the worst they’ve released. The decision to overshadow Floor’s voice in favor of symphonic noise in the chorus is unforgivable, as is Tuomas’ failure to compose material that truly showcases her talents, regardless of any production flaws. I suspect this might become the first Nightwish album with an average rating below 6/10 on here.

It's time to tell to mr. Holopainen that he's not another Hans Zimmer, because his symphonic aproach is unbelievably boring and obnoxious. But his ego would probably not be able to absorb it.

I am being naive and dreaming of a new Whishmaster or at minimum Imaginaerum 2.0. Well, this sounds very close to the Noise single but way better. So I am defiantly not expecting another Endless Forms Most Beautiful sound here. However this time hopefully their new material won't be influenced by Greta Thunberg political hallucinations...or will it be? Too much orchestra stuff. It's almost comedic how loud the symphonic instruments are.
Vocals are faaaar too silent.

As for melodies etc., they're good. Catchy stuff.

Nice song and nice video, but the mix is awful.

It sounds like a direct continuation of Human. :II: Nature.. After a couple of weeks it's clear it's one of their most unremarkable and unmemorable singles. Certainly lead singles.

My favourite part is probably, surprisingly enough, Troy's bit at the end.
