The Berzerker must be the weirdest band I've ever heard in my entire life, yes they are fast, fast? Ok harshly fast, insanely fast, fast as the guy in American Pie, fast, REALLY fast, so I could end this review right here because The Berzerker does not give us anything more than speed and drumming, but well I will explain you why is that.
The Album starts with a really cool song, "Disregard" a lot of incredible riffs, and I think I heard some good bass-lines but I am not sure (believe me the drumming sounds so fast, and also has this hideous tone that creates a point where we can't hear the other instruments at all) so this song is remarkable in some things, now the bad thing is that every other song in "Dissimulate" sounds exactly the same, "Failure", "No One Wins", you name it, the entire album is monotonous and boring, the drummer (now human, monster or whatever, no longer a drum-machine) is really fast but that's it, he is not complex in his execution, not even multifaceted, the drumming has the same hyper-fast beats all over the album, not to mention that the drums drown the sound of the other instruments (as I already said).
Another thing is that they use audio clips from I don't know where, this is really not a good thing, I don't want to hear boring clips of whatever, is really useless to hear "?The Next day the music moved to point Octova, 14000 died?" or something; and why people do not understand that Brutal Metal and Techno Elements just don't get along? Why they insist? Those odd elements are just another low point for this album, it brings nothing new to the table, this is not at all fresh as some people say, in fact The Berzerker is like a ultra-fast Mortician(and believe me, it's very difficult to be faster than Mortician) with lousy Industrial music and weird Techno Beats.
I do not want to listen to This album again, I tried to hear it two times in a row and it's impossible, it is annoying and tedious, this album gets a 6.4 only for two reasons?
The first one is due to the fact that "Dissimulate" includes a Carcass cover, average indeed and with a hideous distortion, but it's always good to hear a carcass song.
The second reason: The first song impressed me with those ultra-fast drums, but well that's it, just download the first song and voila you got the full album, "Disregard" is the entire album in just one minute, exactly the same thing believe me.
