Asofy is a one man Italian band that plays a very dark and blackish form of doom metal. The band released their first, and so far their only, official album back in 2001 but have now in 2004 re-released it through the record label Trazeroeuno.
The album starts with some "noisy" guitar sound and some up-tempo drumming and some dark vocals coming straight from the deepest corner of hell. After a couple of minutes the album slows down and creates a very, once again, dark and mega depressive atmosphere which leaves you in such solitude that you will forget about whatever that is going on around you and get lost, deep in your own sorrow.
The album continues in the same way, creating some ultra depressive and slow music with a dark and blackish cover that lays over the music, almost like a person that covers your face with a thin plastic and suffocates you.
Listening to this album makes you feel like you are experiencing some form of lucid dreaming, the darkness of this album feels so real somehow, and while you are lost in your feelings, the faster passages of the album, which is mostly speeded up by the occasional up-tempo drums, wakes you up drowned in your sweat and trapped to your chair, you realise that you are stuck into this darkness?
