Neofolk/Dark Folk Of The Non Metal Kind

I'm going to start building a list of all the Neofolk/Dark folk albums that I like. These are specifically non-metal albums that I often go back to when I'm in the mood to listen to something lighter.
These albums still have a dark feel, you won't find typical neofolk here like Current 93 or Death In June, as they don't have that dark vibe to me.
What I particularly find cool is neofolk albums that are made by black metal bands like Ulver, these aren't that easy to search for on MS

1. :Of The Wand And The Moon: - The Lone Descent
One of the reasons I started listening to more neofolk. The album is fantastic and I discovered it because he was previously in Saturnus
2. Thrawsunblat - Great Brunswick Forest
I love this album and it's one that made me curious to find more like it, it still has that black metal vibe, but maybe that's all in my head
3. Thrawsunblat - Live Off The Forest Floor
This is such a cool album, after hearing this it made me hear the previous black metal albums in a different way, as these are folk versions of many previous Black metal songs, barring the repeats from Great Brunswick Forest that are already follk. I must have listened to this 30+ times
4. Ulver - Kveldssanger
Not much to say here, some like it some don't. Current day Ulver has way moved on from anything black metal or neofolk
5. Nest - Agalloch / Nest
One that I first heard just because Agalloch. It's very much on the Ambient side and it's pretty cool, but I'm yet to give more albums from Nest a go
6. Nest - Trail Of The Unwary
I forgot this one! I've heard this full length from Nest quite a bit, but unfortunately it's not yet on Spotify, otherwise I'd listen to it more (edit: it is there now)
7. The Moon And The Nightspirit - Ősforrás
Probably one of the most pure neofolk bands here. This one I found the best of their releases.
8. Drudkh - Пісні Скорботи I Самітності (Songs Of Grief And Solitude)
Takes quite a few listens and the production is pretty poor for a folk release.
9. Panopticon - ...Scars II (The Basics)
Panopticon has a very strong folk influence in it's black metal. This album is an acoustic version of CD 2 of The Scars Of Man On The Once Nameless Wilderness. Very addictive
10. Winterfylleth - The Hallowing Of Heirdom
I've only heard this a few times, but it was quite good. Needs more listens
11. Grai - Млада (Mlada)
Ok this one has some metal, but it's not on every track and not the primary sound. A pretty cool band that I've only just started listing to when I made this list
12. Tenhi - Kauan
I'd listened to Tehhi's second album Väre quite a few times, but it never grabbed me. This one on the other hand I liked right away, it's quite a soothing/easy listen
13. October Falls - Marras - Eight Hymns For Sheol And Nature
A bit like if Agalloch was just acoustic guitars and no vocals. A nice find, I'll need to explore the other albums
14. Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun
This could have been one of many albums by Chelsea Wolfe, but so far this has been my favourite. Definitely a lot of darkness in her music, and very enjoyable when in the right mood
15. Dornenreich - Hexenwind
This was a surprise, I'd heard In Luft Geritzt quite a few times, which I liked, but it was a bit on the boring side. This is a lot more upbeat and very enjoyable
16. 1476 - In Exile
New discovery for 2023, I really love the guitar strumming in this one. The vocals aren't fantastic (he can sing, but not to my taste, a bit poppy maybe). Good production
