Feels like disrespecting them by putting them below that. Admittedly I still need to check out Metal Church and Last in Line, if I do I might have to pick a bigger number than 6 - there's also Bathory, Grim Reaper, Saint Vitus, Manowar and a shit-ton others to consider. 84 was an amazing year.

A very good year indeed, one of the best in the decade imo, very consistent, and other genre's beginning to form such as thrash. Here's my list: 1. Dio - Holy Diver 2. Mercyful Fate - Melissa 3.
