Here is my ranking of Moonsorrow albums, one of my favorite bands.

1. Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja (Well, my opinion here is a little biased, since a 10 is always subjective, but I agree with many that this is what the band did best. It's one of my favorite albums, by far. It perfectly mixes folk with metal, and the result is truly incredible. Moonsorrow manages to transport me into an atmosphere sending me among the vikings. The tracks are really punchy, catchy and powerful. One of the best albums I have had the pleasure of listening to. My favorite tracks are "Unohduksen Lapsi", "Jumalten Kaupunki", "Kivenkantaja" and "Raunioilla" (almost the entire album). [10])
2. Moonsorrow - Voimasta Ja Kunniasta (The band's second album, one of their most folk. It is already very reminiscent of the style that I loved in Kivenkantaja. I headbang more often to this album than to its predecessor Suden Uni. The album is particularly epic, that's what I really like about Moonsorrow, their epic touch which makes the albums unforgettable. My favorite tracks are "Kylän päässä" and "Sankaritarina". [9.1])
3. Moonsorrow - Verisäkeet (Verisäkeet is one of the band's deepest albums, but also one of the most violent, to my greatest pleasure. It certainly doesn't have the appeal of the first three albums, but it is much more powerful and still very pleasant to listen to. The tracks are getting longer and longer, it's typical of Moonsorrow and it's one of the aspects that I appreciate the most about them. The tracks "Haaska" and "Pimeä" are the most accomplished. The band has managed not to spread out, and on the contrary to offer coherent and more sophisticated tracks. [8.8])
4. Moonsorrow - Suden Uni (From their first album, Moonsorrow had already acquired their legendary style, a style which is of course not as evolved as today but we feel that the band had no trouble finding their style. The beginning is already a great success, with many tracks like "Köyliönjärven jäällä" or "Pakanajuhla", which already have the elements that make Moonsorrow one of my favorite bands. [8.5])
5. Moonsorrow - V: Hävitetty (Composed only of 2 tracks, Moonsorrow decided to take a step forward and no longer make an album composed of several long tracks, but a 1 hour music album. Respectable choice which will give birth to one of the band's most epic albums. We feel that the members of the band have decided to express themselves, and they don't shy away. This is one of their most sought after albums so far, it is a little worse than the previous albums. However, I respect the fact that the band has chosen to do what is most sought after, even if it means being less accessible. [8.3])
6. Moonsorrow - Jumalten Aika (With their seventh album, we can say that Moonsorrow already have experience behind them. Personally, I find that on this album and the previous one, there was a loss of steam, we are always on long, punchy tracks, and we always have that usual background sound to the band, which makes the albums so unique. Another factor which shows that the album is still successful is the fact that they always manage to transport us through their music into the Viking universe, this album being one of the most folkish in my opinion. "Jumalten Aika" and "Suden Tunti" are what the band did best on the album. Despite everything, it lacks a little power, I headbang less on this album than on the first ones and it lacks that energy so particular to Moonsorrow that almost all previous albums have and which makes the music epic. [7.9])
7. Moonsorrow - Varjoina Kuljemme Kuolleiden Maassa (The worst student of the lot, but the album remains very appreciable, because in my opinion Moonsorrow do a flawless job with their discography. They don't have any bad albums or even average albums. Despite everything there is always an album that we appreciate less, and it's this one for me. The style, however, is a little closer to that of the first three, so I don't really understand why I find it less good than the others. No riffs as impactful? Maybe. A lack of charm too. Maybe the gang was out of ideas. However, there are certain tracks that I really liked, notably "Huuto". Mind you, I still really liked the album, that’s it. just that by comparing it to the other albums that Moonsorrow has released so far, it suffers a little, but without the comparison, the album is more than appreciable. But overall, I'm slightly disappointed with this one. [7.5])
