3 BM new releases at same day, no its not to much, but this I enjoy most, agresive, faster, more norden and more old school close to old Thy Primordial. I hope staffers will review it. So fat strongest album in a while.

Impressive debut! Obviously, this is Emperor/Dissection/Lord Belial-worship with symphonic elements, the cover art by Necrolord, and lyrics about becoming the Devil's chosen one, being one with the night, etc etc.

Not very original for the most part, but the album's still a banger! The album title has a cool mystical feeling about it. "Ode To the Nightsky" is where the album really hits its stride with some nice Dissection-esque riffs. "The Owl" and "Among The Unseen Ones" are the other two stand out tracks for me.

I like the owl-logo, the cover art, and of course the aforementioned musical influences. The owl-sounds thrown in on "The Owl" were a nice touch, and I really liked how "Among The Unseen Ones" ends with "the night is me!", i.e. roll credits! The instrumental track at the end is sweet too with some nice crunchy riffs assaulting the choir of angels, before the song is cut off by some Slayer-whining-guitars. Pretty cool.

This band is looking very promising. I'm looking forward to more!

Not heard it yet, but it has the classic black and blue album cover, so it has to be good.

Damn, this is my meloblack album of the year, even over Kvaen. Really good stuff!

I strongly hope Vanhala had a much bigger impact on the new Insomnium than Liimatainen, because Vanhala knows how to write powerful music. That's what I fucking expect from my Insomnium albums, not the somewhat cheesy stuff from Heart Like A Grave ..
