It's ok, for background music at least, it has some quality musicianship, especially with the violin, but it just starts to sound repetitive, and I can't tell each track apart, so inevitably find myself losing interest.

As much as I respect your opinion, I find that hard to understand : the opening track is a 9min prog epic; the next is like a funk oriented song; the next is a 5 min banger; the next is an 8 minutes song with crazy polyrhythms and middle eastern vibes; the next is 13 minutes and its 5 first minutes are completely different than what we've heard before; the next is 4 minutes and very atmospheric; and then the next is a 12min prog epic.
I find this album to be the opposite of background music. In fact, there are so many layers and surprises that I find this album very rewarding when you actively listen to it.
