I saw this pop up in the New Releases over the weekend and I was hoping to maybe give this some exposure, cos it's always nice to see where Clandestine Cuts bands go next, but this is really... not very good. I'm a bit perplexed at what's happened, as the EP last year was perfectly good for blackgaze, but this album's really flat and there's parts of it where different vocals/instruments just sound out of tune with one another (particularly the first song Rise); it's as if there's been a regression since Escapism last year

Some half decent shoegaze elements in here and the soft female vocals are quite pleasant but other than that it's pretty dull if I have to be honest, and quite disjointed in parts too. The heavier parts that kick in don't do anything for me
