My friends, I think we are not far from being in presence of a masterpiece. The third album is said to be the hardest mark to top, but the Frenchies of Your Shapeless Beauty have made it easily. Not that this album, at first sight, is of a staggering originality, but when you listen to it more closely, with attention, then you realize that Your Shapeless Beauty, operating in a style between Dark Brutal Death and Doom metal, has found its proper personality, that sounds like nothing else. Hard to decribe this, its more dm as doom m as previous one, but then again after 2 songs its goes to doom, and are awesome. Cant descrive it, such lost in time. sad band stop activities.

Supposedly they released a new album entitled Phoinike in 2015, which apparently was finished since 2010, but except a couple of articles on French webzines, there's no trace of it anywhere. The band is still supposed to be active but there's no news of anything anywhere. That's too bad, My Swan Song was such a cool and innovative album.

Written by Deadsoulman on 12.09.2021 at 14:20 Yeah, I still remember deleting Phoinike from our database, years after the alleged release date, for that was the very first thing I've done as a contributor. It's kind of funny that some sites (Spirit Of Metal, Wikipedia, Metal Kingdom, Lycanthropia) still believe it had actually been released back in 2011 or 2015, even though a few drum solos on YouTube and five short clips on SoundCloud is all there is and has ever been.
