Interesting album. They take a "positive" approach with a focus on the "light". Certainly unique for Black Metal. However the light is blinding and overwhelming and they aim to "blind" you and deafen you in violent shrieking. It's interesting, and worth a listen for curiosities sake, but all that being said I didn't much care for it a whole lot.

Cool album for sure. Held back by poor mixing. Each instrument is separated on their own and not properly blended to create a filling atmosphere.

Definitely has some Liturgy influence. Unfortunately, I think Liturgy’s influence on art school dweebs is going to produce a wave of “ethereal” black metal in the near future.
