Probably the best from Europe. Really catchy guitarwork, but the lyrics are ludicruos as always. Better than Final Countdown.

A step forward compared to Start from the Dark but that doesn't say much. I really like Devil Sings The Blues but don't really care for the rest.

Also not many people know the later day albums as some people cannot get passed the Final Countdown hits. A lot of people hate that song, but Europe is so much more than that.

Written by John_Doe on 17.10.2023 at 13:46 Absolutley. Europe have always had so much talent with both great hits and excellent deep cuts. And I agree that it used to be a very dividing band when one brought up Europe. Usually you just got some Final Countdown and Carrie slagging. This is anecdotally but an observation I made, that in recent years it's a lot more positive comments about Europe in general (both online and in real life) and IMO they are one of the big hairbands of the 80's that have most successfully rebranded themself with their bluesy down to earth hard rock. Even if i'm not sold on their post-comeback albums i'm extremely impressed with what they have achieved.
