According to Orthodox Easter, Christ will be resurrected by the end of this specific week, springtime unfolds its wings in a shy way, slowly but steadily, the flowers bloom, the butterflies dance and "The Vampire From Nazareth" is about to be awakened. Well, my dear friends, this is the most appropriate moment of the year for a new Septicflesh album.

The more I listen to this album, the more I like it ! This is definitely a master piece to me ! Only track that is a bit below the rest is "Rising", why isn't there any orchestral part in it ? Anyway, just love it !

I would love to give it 10 but there's nothing like perfection

Yeah its not Death metal and i hope this album not win any Award in the Death metal section this year, maybe will win in the "Operatic Symphonic Metal" section, or what ever their genre is...

If anything it would simply be symphonic metal - we won't have a separate category for operatic.

Agreed, Apart from the growled vocals this album is no way death metal. It should just be considered symphonic.

I have some mixed feelings about this album. It starts in an awesome way, some great crushing symphonic metal truly pleasant to my ears, nice vocals and great music in general, but somehow I think this is kinda repetitive after the fourth song. I'm just sayin', ever heard of Hollenthon?

Extreme Symphonic Metal would do the justice! and btw stop comparing Septicflesh with Hollenthon, it is absolutely misleading! Apart from Symphonic parts in their music (which are in Hollenthon's case stolen from some classical works, till Septicflesh has original compositions of their own) they are completely different...

Great album, especially the songs "Pyramid God", "The Vampire of Nazareth", "Mad Architect" and "Rising".

Somehow, however, I can't find any truly pure-awesome-sauce guitar solos. Although I shouldn't expect much from something so symphonic.

I like a lot of the sounds Septicflesh work with, but I didn't really hear much on this album that I didn't already hear on the previous two.

What a beast of an album. Just proves that without a bass player with a crushing tone, this band wouldn't pummel as bad as it does. I get chills each time that ol' clean vox comes in. It deserves great reviews for sure, but in my opinion some of it is a bit filler, but just SOME. Must have of 2011 though, love the artwork too.

So sad the vote abuse going on to try and take this album down. Seriously, any vote under a 3 should be thrown out. Even if this isn't your genre of metal you can't help but respect the quality of it.

In the current top same things can be said about Omnium Gatherum and Moonsorrow. Good practice for getting average value in such cases is to separate some percent of extremum values from counting. For example, 5% of the lowest and 5% of the highest values.
