This album came as a real surprise for me because it's really hard to come by an album (especially when it come to hard rock and heavy metal) which doesn't contain even one song I don't like. But in this case I like both the hard rocking songs and touchy ballads ("Hero", in my opinion, is a great tribute to Ronnie James Dio).

Despite my slight crush on Doro, lol, I must be brutally honest......This is literally the best release she's put out in almost 20 years!! What the actual fuck was that garbage she put out in the mid/late 90s anyway? Industrial Metal? Fuck off....... It's a breath of fresh air to hear that she returned to her roots.

Also I'm glad to see that she finally took it easy with the ballads, not that she's never recorded any great slow songs, but throughout her overall discography those were becoming excessive. This is the most 'metal' release she's done since her solo debut and makes me look forward to the upcoming studio album even more, very promising
