Have you ever wondered what would have turned out if Def Leppard played power metal? In the name of your mental sanity, I hope not. Anyway, the result would have been Silent Force.

I liked it, a catchy album I needed
this band should not be labeled as progressive though

This album in particular isn't progressive, closer to stuff like At Vance, and I think it's an enjoyable return for them as well. Earlier albums had their progressive elements though.

Very average album. After a few years, I still find it boring.

A few songs which are listenable but overall a disappointment in comparison with the previous 3 releases. Looking at previous comments, I don't get how is it related to progressive rock / metal? It is straightforward hard rock with a few songs leaning to metal or power metal.

If they ever release another album then I hope they change the singer because he doesn't fit the SF style.

DC Cooper left the band after he got serious again with Royal Hunt and Silent Force brought in their "original" singer Michael Borrmann. Good choice. This album is less heavy than the two previous ones, more melodic rock leaning. The opening Caught In Their Wicked Game is a crazy one, the lead guitar work is out of this world, most certainly the best song here. Living To Die, Before You Run and Anytime Anywhere are also good ones with great hooks all over. It's over 8 years since this one was released so I don't think there will be another one but one can always hope.
