Gift Of Gods is a project of Ted Skjellum, better known to most the metal world as Nocturno Culto, one half of Darkthrone.

So what does Gift Of Gods sound like? Well, if you've listened to their last few releases, it sounds like one half of a Darkthrone album.

Listed to this once when it came about and didnt remember anything.
Going through DT's discog so fitting to revisit, and this is really good. A more heavy metal version of say, Artic Thunder and onwards DT albums. Not too surprising seeing that it's on the same year as The Underground Resistance.
The audible fat bass is nice, as is the Universe cover (great guest vocals). Best part is the last two minutes on the first track, great build up and solo. The instrumental is also rifftastic and sounds particularly heavy.
Can see why Nocturno didn't follow up, as mentioned, similarities with the last few DT albums aint too far so perhaps made no sense.
