So? There's a couple of english songs on the other albums.

Nice one, I like how it sound sprog met, balladish style, to old BM, mix of all emotions and knowing language really helps, to understand this band. One of bands I didn't like in 2007 something but I like it now, maybe best active metal band who sings in Swedish....(after Vinterorg) , well one of anyway and I like this one, I will spin it more tomorrow.

Yeah, I browsed youtube and stuff and though of downloading getting a copy just because of it, but didn't find any copy with that song on it =/

I too resorted to alternative ways, couldn't find anything either. I can wait, it's okay, it's just that I thought it was part of the whole tracklist, so when I got to the end I was a bit bummed.

Really good album, certainly Shining's best in a around a decade. I particularly enjoyed "Framtidsutsikter" and the closer, but the album is generally consistent all the way through. "Inga Broar" was the only disappointment I had with the album (It seems weaker to me than the songs which precede and succeed it), but that's about it. Also, am I the only one who thinks the second half of the first song is like a rock opera? Probably.

Depressing black metal.

Did you finally get to it? I was actually surprised at how faithful it was to the original. It lacks some power in the bridges, too bad. Of course NK had to overdo it a little with the agonising at the end, but that was expected of him. But all in all it was a fun way to (almost) end the album.

Indeed, very similar to the original. It was almost like Ohne Dich by Rammstein with Kvarforth on vocals, I expected more huh... black metal
But a good cover nonetheless

I thought that cover was terrible. I couldn't even finish it, those vocals really didn't fit, unless he hadn't stayed so close to the original song musically.

I don't get it

The album title for that All The Remains album he linked is "The Order of Things". The word "things" is a lot like "stuff", and sounds like careless naming.

With the exception of the first album (which I don't think have that Shining sound I crave), this is without a doubt Kvarforths least good effort. A great album, "Framtidsutsikter" is amazing and the lyrics are great. But the album doesn't have that overall punch I think all Shining albums give you. Again with the exception of I (and VIII for obvious reasons), this is the first Shining album I rate below 9.

But I just can't get enough of alternate versions of "Svart industriell olycka". One of the best Shining songs and that main riff is in my opinion the most evil and dark sound ever in a song.

Nope, cant enjoy much after V - Halmstad.
the atmosphere is missing, i was really hoping for something more original. maybe i should give it more tries and it grows?

Ill just say what i said in the other thread

I'v never really liked shinning apart from maybe II and III, and this album didn't do anything to change my mind Though there were a few good moments like in "Black industrial eleven" and i do appreciate his vocals (could do good in a hardcore band i reckon). I don't even feel the sickness or unpleasantness or whatever it is that he is said to be getting across.

...also the covers shit.

His vocals are suppose to be quite renowned in bm?but then, so is shining

Puns aside, my point was that if you really want to try them out: I suggest V - Halmstad.
