I liked this, only heard this once yet but there seems to be impeccable Dissection worship.

It's definitely some of the best folk-oriented metal I've heard in a long time. There's very little cheese here, though still epic, and I love the far-away, misty vocal style.

I mean to check this out again soon but even from it's album cover compared to the others next to it on AtmosphericBlackMetalAlbums YT page, it feels somewhat more real and less generic i.e. appearing to be atmospheric for an atmosphere's sake.

Yeah it seems to do it through more genuine folk melodies than anything contrived than that. I dig its simplicity.

As I wrote somewhere else "Luckily it doesn't sound like pansy folk metal one gets to hear all the time."
and as conclusion. "But I am afraid most folk metal fans won't appreciate this because you can't scream along to this drunkenly with a drinking horn in your hand. Well, good, let that sort of people keep to their inferior music."

Must admit I never thought much of this album on the first listen. I think that was mainly due to how the vocals are recorded further back in the mix which just didn't seem to fit well for me originally.
However, there was enough intrigue there with the fantastic songwriting that compelled me to come back for a second listen...and then a third...and then a fourth... & before I knew it, it had become one of my favourite records of 2015 Oh, and I now love the vocals That ethereal atmosphere they give generate really adds to what makes this such an interesting & compelling record.

I enjoyed the medieval theme and the atmosphere but some tracks had too bright sound for my taste.

Loved it, Listened to it so many times! Definitely my favourite "obscure" album of the year. Can't for the life of me understand why it wasn't on the top 20 of 2015...
Best tracks: Wilweorthunga, Until All Ages Fall, Des Oge Mais Quer Eu Trobar (cos I love me some medieval-sounding instrumental tracks )

A very fresh take on folk-inspired black metal. The guitar tone is almost soothing throughout, giving the album a soaring,"vernal" feel to it, much like the album title. While listening I thought of natural and organic springtime imagery. Excellent stuff to chill with.
