It creates an Overwhelming musical experience, specially at the beginning of the album and in the last track

Can someone explain this "shoegaze" genre to me? I'm intrigued by the musicality of an album like this, but I'm quite confused with the vocals, since you can't even hear them. Is that characteristic of this style, for them to mute the vocals to the point where I literally cannot distinguish between whether or not he's actually singing to lyrics or just screaming for effect.

google or wiki can probably explain it better than me. But yes, a characteristic of shoegaze are vocals, whether clean, screams or shrieks, blanketed beneath a wall of sound. If you want to investigate the genre further I can help with metal side of shoegaze.

This is some extremely lovely black-metal if you don't mind large quantities of cheese...
In all seriousness though, I can't get enough of this album... Really surprising to hear how much this expands upon his earlier work.

This is surprisingly really really good for how derivative it is! Everything is done in a good taste and the folkish elements elevate it to another level.
The opening track is such beautiful a journey!

Since I pretty much gave up on Blackgaze I didn't think I'd ever love another album from this genre as much as I loved this.
Up until this point in time Anomie is my AotY.

Pretty bland album honestly. Very VERY derivative. Bad clicky bass drum tone with no punch. No good at all.


EDIT: Wow this is so fucking boring. I had to shut it off.
