I'm really digging it so far. This is a true mix of different styles, which I totally dig. There is still plenty of melodeath here, but lots of other enjoyable elements, as well, that keep it interesting. My only complaint is that the lead singer seems to think that he has a good clean singing voice... he doesn't (although it sounds good at times).

I loved Starkill's first two albums but they've lost their way a bit since. The mix of styles on Gravity just makes it all sound really disjointed - it's barely melodeath anymore.
After a full listen, I find it just forgettable .

I like the changes they've gone through, personally. It's either a band changes and evolves their style or keeps the same formula and hopes it works out for them. Parker did state that this was the direction he wanted the band to go since the beginning. I agree that they probably shouldn't be labelled fully Melodeath, maybe extreme power metal?

I was listen to them since they where called Massakren.
The Massakren EP they released back in 2011 was just a masterpiece.
After they changed a name to Starkill, reworked their old materials releasing the Fires of Life that was just perfect however the original solo on This is Our Battle, This is Our Day on Massakren EP 2011 was way better.

Everything happened after the Fires of Life is just weird, too much mixture of the genres added clean vocal then female vocal etc. What next? If they bring the balalaika and Britney Spears to next album I would not be surprised. I really wish they stay the way they started.

UPDATE:
Just listened to Fires of Life as wasn't heard that for quite a while - it is just a masterpiece. Changing my Gravity rating from 6 to 4

Yeah, these guys went from being good to being super gay, just like Noumena did.
Sad.
