for context, yes, the conservative CDU is moving right, but only after having moved left in their coalitions with left wing parties. So, now they're actually becoming conservative again to be competitive with the AfD

There are between 5 and 7 parties that theoretically could make it into parliament and Germany will always be ruled by a coalition. But there is a non-zero chance it will be one between conservatives and nazis.

There is still a "conservative" party on the spectrum, too. But they have turned further right in response to this development and they're not going to win a majority.

But the term nazi is accurate. And important to give them the right frame for people considering to vote for them. Nobody should be allowed to say they didn't know what they voted for.

And it's a fitting description. They use orignal 3rd Reich propaganda quotes in their speeches, and have been exposed for plans to "ethnically clean" the German population. It's a complicated matter and hard to explain in shouts.
