He was a session drummer for the Death Metal band Forgarður Helvítis (probably the oldest metal band in Iceland formed in late 80s or early 90s) when they finally released their first album named "Gerningaveður" in 2002.
He is the former drummer for Myrk which he joined in 2000 and left in 2003. That's when he decided to become more than just a session and tour drummer for then called Afsprengi Satans (name changed later to Momentum in 2005 or 2006) and became a full member. Shortly after he became a full member in the band he decided to quit using the stage name "Skog".
