Biography

Indukti mesmerize with their debut CD "S.U.S.A.R." on The Laser's Edge label.

Channel "Lark's Tongues In Aspic" era King Crimson through the crunch of Tool while throwing in violin & harp, and have it sound gloriously seamless. Got it? That will give you an inkling of what to expect from new Polish hard progsters Indukti. Their debut CD "S.U.S.A.R." offers powerful, dark compositions of hypnotic complexity. Articulate bass work, tribal drones, rolling, boiling rhythms all set the stage for fluttering violin lines and jackhammer guitars. Indukti will sweetly pull you in with soft harps and quiet melodies before punching you in the gut with a crunching riff. Just listen to a track like "no. 11811" - it's the audio equivalent of a chainsaw fight in a cathouse! The moods and textures on "S.U.S.A.R." create an almost hallucinogenic listening experience as you wander through a sonic maze.

The five classically trained musicians in Indukti have created a mostly instrumental sound that is a roller coaster ride of emotions. To add the icing on the cake, they were assisted in the studio by Riverside vocalist Mariusz Duda and Kayanis harpist Anna Faber on several tracks. To retain the spontaneity and energy of a live performance, "S.U.S.A.R." was recorded live in the studio, recording all instruments simultaneously to preserve that vibe. Indukti surely succeeded, as the CD is crisp, vibrant, and crackling with energy. As a bonus, this enhanced CD includes an exclusive Quicktime video for the unreleased track "Mantra". With a heavy but complex sound, Indukti can't help but create interest from both progressive and prog metal fans around the world.
