Quinta Essentia, from the Southern US started in 2004. The debut full length album released in 2006 was "Neutrality For Defined Chaos". The album was released by Deathgasm Records. "Archetypal Transformation", the 2nd album was released in 2008 through Deathgasm/Ibex Moon Records.
The album Mixing and Mastering was done by Punchy Gonzales(Morbid Angel, Terrorizer). This album release had far reach with help from the labels Deathgasm and Ibex Moon Records. There was lots of touring in support of this album over the next few years which included a 3 week
North American tour in 2007 prior to the album's release. In July, the month after the release, the band went out on another North American tour, this time with Swedish band Nominon that have been around for 20 years. The tour included shows with Incantation in Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Quinta Essentia and Nominon also did a Festival in Michigan called Michigan Extreme Metal Fest and Central Illinois Metalfest with Suffocation, Monstrosity, God Dethroned, Brutal Truth and Origin. This tour ended with the final date on July 21st in Nashville, TN with Monstrosity. In 2010 Quinta Essentia hit the road in North America again with label mates Nominon and this time also with Infinitum Obscure(Mexico).
The new album titled "Initiates of the Great Work" is set to be released in 2016 . The lyrical focus is centralized around alchemical transformation, alignment, position, and the golden ratio; as well as higher consciousness and philosophy. The concepts are about the journey for knowledge and expansion. With the new album and song titles such as "The Stone As A Key", "Lunar Power", and "Master Of Masters" the band intends to unfold its next chapter unto the world. The band's first studio release since 2008's Deathgasm/Ibex Moon-issued Archetypal Transformation, Initiates Of The Great Work was recorded and engineered by former drummer Lance Wright (former touring drummer for Vile, guitarist for Epoch Of Unlight et al) at Stargate Studios in Huntsville, Alabama and mixed by Wright and Colin Davis (Vile).
Their most industrious work to date both musically and thematically, the record centers itself around alchemy, electromagnetic energy, the illusions manifested in our culture, expanded consciousness, and enduring the long journey while many aspects of modern culture seek to convince us how insignificant we are as beings. Just as the opening track "The Wanderer Travels" foretells, QUINTA ESSENTIA voyages with no regard for compromise to fit into subgenres or niches, crushing boundaries with aggressive, mystical art that hails the old ways of traditional metal while pushing forward into uncompromising territories.
