69 Chambers like to call their music a minefield of contradictions, combining brutality with pop sensibility in an array of in-your-face rock and metal songs. Led by beautiful multi-instrumentalist and frontwoman Nina Vetterli-Treml, they combine outstanding musicianship with a voice that has been described as somewhere between "Tori Amos goes metal" and "Alanis Morissette with balls". Nina's unique voice is backed by hefty metal and Soundgarden-esque walls of sound, and with their upcoming yet untitled masterpiece, 69 Chambers are more than ready to take over the world's rock and metal audiences in 2012. In the band's own words, the new songs are more mature, sometimes harder, and playfully incorporate different stylistic influences. While sometimes not easy to shelve and tough to define, it is this suspense that makes the unique mix that is 69 Chambers!

Working as an automotive journalist, the co-author of a book on auto motor sports likes to be quoted as saying "a guitar or a bass need to sound as evil as the air cooled boxer engine of a vintage Porsche." The songstress with a childhood background in South Korea and Singapore founded 69 Chambers in Zurich, Switzerland. A collection of original songs written during a 12-month quest for inspiration in America's dream factory Los Angeles, christened during countless singer/songwriter gigs at open mic nights, was recorded soon after her return to Switzerland and released on the debut album War On The Inside, which convinced fans and press alike with major-league songwriting and production. The immediate success alllowed the band to play live highlights such as Hellfest Open Air in France and the renowned MFVF Festival in Belgium, and survive several line-up changes up to the recent departure of bassist Maddy Madarasz in late 2011. Now stronger than ever, the band is back to a three-piece formation including guitar legend Tommy Vetterli and world-class drummer Diego Rapacchietti, while Nina is taking over the bass duties. 69 Chambers' sophomore album Torque, released on April 27, 2012 through Massacre Records has immediately created considerable buzz in the metal world and enjoys positive reception from both fans and press.

Live highlights such as the 2012 edition of the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival have been confirmed already, and 69 Chambers' expansion beyond national borders will continue with their second appearance at the Metal Female Voices Festival in Belgium - starting a touring cycle that is to be continued far into 2013.
