Thankfully we don’t have any dangerous hornets but we have a ridiculous number of paper wasps that keep building nests under my deck. Also tons of cicada killers that are huge but I’ve never been stung by those

@Vellichor I prefer this to the European and Asian hornets, one is huge, the other super aggressive.

We have toe biters here that get pretty big, but I haven’t seen a weta

The biggest ones I've seen are skylights in the south of the country, they make a helicopter noise, I even found one in my bed one day.

I live in the countryside on the Belgian border and the worst things you can find are wild boars and European hornets. No insect in France comes close to the weta in terms of size.

Weird thing is I live about 100m from the ocean. I didn't think it would be the right environment

@Ch'ti they are big but I never see them, my cat definitely knows where they are though
