Waylander - In The Studio

In 2012, British Celtic folk metallers Waylander released their last album, Kindred Spirits. Now, the band is working on a new concept album but no tittle, date or more is known so far. The only thing we know is that they are in the recording studio and that their 5th studio album, and first ever concept album, is planned to be released on the second half of 2018 via Listenable Records.

Wolfheart - Enter The Studio, Sign With Napalm Records

Napalm Records has announced the signing and partnership with the Finns Wolfheart. Tuomas Saukkonen and his bandmates share the same passion for nature, particularly the frosty cold winters of the northern world accompanied with epic melodic death metal. The other good news is that the band has entered the studio (Petrax Studios) to record their new album.

Brainstorm - To Enter Studio

A new Brainstorm album is being forged. The German power metallers will enter the Greenman Studios to record their upcoming new album with producer Sebastian Seeb Levermann (Orden Ogan, Rhapsody Of Fire). The record will be titled Midnight Ghost, a release is scheduled for September and the tour will start in January 2019.

Spock's Beard - Announce New Studio Album

Fans of prog rock rejoice because Spock's Beard are releasing a new album! The legendary US band has announced the release of their 13th studio album, Noise Floor for 25th of May 2018. As announced previously, for this album Ted Leonard, Alan Morse, Dave Meros and Ryo Okumoto were joined in the studio once again by drummer and original member Nick D'Virgilio.

Abbath - In The Studio

There is some movement in Bergen, because of local son and famous black metal frontman Olve Eikemo who performs under the Abbath name. First the band announced a small tour. Now band is in the studio and working on new music.

The band posted the following:

"Abbath, King & Raud are currently working in the studio, in their hometown Bergen, on the next album. Simon Dancaster will as last time write the lyrics. More info to come soon!"

A Pale Horse Named Death - In The Studio Following Line-Up Changes

A Pale Horse Named Death, the band fronted by ex-Type O Negative drummer Sal Abruscato who recently left his position in Life Of Agony, has now announced a revised line-up. Drummer Johnny Kelly (Danzig, ex-Type O Negative) has been replaced by Tommy Spano (Corey Glover, Sekond Skyn) and guitarist Matt Brown (ex-Seventh Void), who has moved on with other business ventures, has been replaced by Joe Taylor (Lita Ford, Doro).

Powerwolf - Update From The Studio

If you like stories about vampires, werewolves, and mysticism, you can check out Powerwolf's catalog. It's a good way to get pumped before their new album is ready. The power metal band has entered the Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden to begin recording their seventh studio album. Due out later in the year via Napalm Records, the follow-up to 2015's Blessed & Possessed is being produced by Jens Bogren.

Candlemass - In The Studio

Swedish epic solitude seekers Candlemass just announced that they will play at the In Flammen Open Air festival in July! Furthermore, the doom metal band posted online that they are in the studio, but it's still unknown what they are recording exactly. The group has yet to release a full-length album with their new singer Mats Levén. He did however record vocals for the band's latest EP, Death Thy Lover, released in 2016.

Exmortus - Back In The Studio, Recruit Warbringer Members For Studio Sessions

US thrashers Exmortus are back in the studio. The band began recording the upcoming new album with producer Zack Ohren (Immolation, Fallujah) at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA. Warbringer's drummer Carlos Cruz and guitarist Chase Becker will be joining vocalist/guitarist Jadran "Conan" Gonzalez and bassist Cody Nunez for the recording sessions.

Jungle Rot - Enter Studio In January

The follow-up to Jungle Rot's latest album Order Shall Prevail is finally coming out next year. The American death metallers will enter the studio on January 5th, 2018 to produce their tenth full length album. The titles slated to appear include "Delusional Denial," "Glory For The Fallen," "Stay Dead," "Twisted Mind," "Fearmonger," "Pumped Full Of Lead," "A Burning Cinder," "Triggered," "Full Scale War" and "Send Forth Oblivion."

Graveyard - Enter Studio To Record New Album

Swedes Graveyard have entered Park Studios in Stockholm to record their yet untitled album that is scheduled for release late spring/early summer in 2018. The album will be produced by Chips Kiesbye (The Hellacopters, Michael Monroe, The Nomads) and engineered by Stefan Boman (Alice Cooper, Def Leppard). This will be the band's fifth full-length album. Soulfly - To Enter Studio In January

Soulfly have announced today that they will enter the studio in January to record the follow-up to 2015's Archangel which will most likely be released in summer 2018 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The as of yet untitled album will be recorded with Josh Wilbur, who also worked with Max Cavalera's other band, Killer Be Killed as well as heavy-hitters Lamb Of God and Gojira. For now, they hint at a return to tribal elements and a Roots like concept.

Gwydion - Launch Crowdfunding Campaign For New Album

Three years ago, Gwydion went on an indefinite hiatus. But hope rose earlier this year, when the band announced they would tour again. They are now preparing a new album, expected in July 2018. In order to help financing the recording of this album, a crowdfunding campaign has been launched last week with a fixed goal of ?2,500. It has long been known by the fans that Gwydion struggle with money, and this is a chance for those who care for their music to support the project. The campaign started here on Indiegogo on November 28th and it will last for 2 months.
