John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of Dying Fetus, has announced that the group has entered the studio to record a new full-length album. The band will once again be working with long-time producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.

Set to be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of Dying Fetus as we have come to know. An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.

"The last album had some groove in it," stated John, "but was basically a lot of tech; this one is a return to form of older Dying Fetus albums, so to speak - more modern production though, of course." "Everything's tight," John adds; "...the sound is crushing, the drums are amazing."

Both Infatuation With Malevolence and Purification Through Violence will be released next Tuesday, January 18th through Relapse Records. The re-issues have been re-mastered and re-packaged now including new liner notes and never-before-seen photography, and bonus tracks. Re-issues of Dying Fetus' Killing On Adrenaline album and Grotesque Impalement EP will follow in early March. Killing On Adrenaline will include two bonus tracks while Grotesque Impalement will feature three previously unreleased tracks.

After headlining the Bonecrusher Fest, Dying Fetus will start working on a brand-new studio album.

Dying Fetus will headline the third installment of the "Thrash And Burn Tour" as it returns to Europe in early April. Dying Fetus, who have just returned home the Planetary Depravity US Tour and an European run alongside Cannibal Corpse, are touring in support of their brand new album Descend Into Depravity. The band's Sean Beasley commented on their upcoming tour; "We are very excited to be a part of Thrash And Burn this year and can't wait to witness the carnage every night of this tour."

Dying Fetus has also recently completed work on the second video from Descend Into Depravity for the track "Your Treachery Will Die With You".
