Exodus - Release New Album In October
San Francisco Bay Area Thrashers Exodus have revelaed the details of their eighth studio album.
"The album is titled " The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A ". And the track listing is as follows.
01. A Call To Arms
02. Riot Act
03. Funeral Hymn
04. Children Of A Worthless God
05. As It Was, As It Soon Shall Be
06. The Atrocity Exhibition
07. Iconoclasm
08. The Garden Of Bleeding
09. Bedlam 123
Why Exhibit A you might ask? Because we already have four songs recorded and finished for the next album, which we will resume recording some time around the end of the year, and this is a two part record. Part two being exhibit B. So yes, there will be another Exodus album finished hopefully soon after the release of this one."

Exodus - Guitarist To Release Instructional DVD
Exodus guitarist Gary Holt will release his first-ever instructional DVD "A Lesson in Guitar Violence", later this month through Zaentz.
Holt previously stated about the upcoming DVD, "I am planning on focusing on rhythm technique, some lead chops, and going over the correct way to play some of the Exodus riffs. I feel there are enough straight shred things out there, so I want to do something as bit differrent. And of course I will make it funny as hell!"
Zaentz Records is the new label formed by Steven Warner (Exodus' manager) and partner Jonnie Zaentz (son of Saul Zaentz, Fantasy Records co-founder). Zaentz is an independent artist-friendly upstart label that features an in-house, state-of-the-art recording facility.

Exodus - Former Drummer Rejoins
The following message was posted by guitarist Gary Holt on the Exodus website today (March 14):
"Breaking news in the Exodus camp!
I'd like to take a moment here and welcome back Tom Hunting to the drum throne of Exodus. It was always understood that when and if Tom was ever ready to resume his drumming duties for the band his seat would be waiting. Paul always knew this, and was the first to say it upon joining the band. Paul and Tom always have been good friends and we, as a band, cannot thank Paul enough for his services on "Shovel Head" and all subsequent tours. We had a great time, and kicked many asses along the way. Paul has given this reunion his whole endorsement with no mixed blessings, and is happy to see Tom back in the fold. Now someone may just become the luckiest suckers in the world, because one hell of a drummer is on the market! We wish Paul all the best, and he will always be a member of the extended Exodus family.
That having been said, we are so excited to have Tom back in the band he co-founded. He, other than the time spent out of the band, is the only drummer I've ever played with, and him and I have an unspoken language of metal that I am stoked to continue.
We are hard at work on the new songs, and this shit is the best and heaviest music we've ever written. I've kept quiet until now, because everyone always brags about how great the new shit is. But this is no boast. This album will redefine thrash metal as we no it. We will be hitting the studio mid- May with Mr. Sneap, and you have been warned."

Exodus - Another Live Video Online
Another live video of Exodus taken during the Monsters Of Mayhem tour is available for viewing online at the Underground Video Television (UVTV).
The live clip was filmed at The Croc Rock in Allentown PA during the Monsters Of Mayhem Tour and is for their 'eight-plus minute ass-kicking in auditory form' track "Deathamphetamine" which is loaded with tons of energy from both the band and the crowd. Watch closely around the 3:20 mark to see Rob Dukes end up leaping into the pit to mosh & surf with the fans.
After the show Exodus bassist Jack Gibson, as their tour bus was negotiating the narrow alley next to the club for the band to unload their gear, told the UVTV crew stories in amazement of how their tour bus driver in Europe drove down an elbow narrow street and then managed to back the bus out with cars parked on either side leaving barely 3-4 inches of space and did not stop once nor hit anything. "Tour bus driving is indeed an art in of itself," Jack said and expressed hopes that "as long as my hair looks good then the live videos you guys shot will be just fine - it's all about the hair," he said with a grin.
Also available at the same location listed above is the other live video UVTV filmed that evening for "War Is My Shepherd".

Exodus - Zurich Show Cancelled
The Zurich show of Exodus's Shovel Headed Kill Machine tour has been cancelled. The band is stuck in France, and can't get over to Switzerland in time for the show, so they've had to cancel it. Here is a message posted on Exodus's official website:
"Unfortunately, the Zurich show has now been cancelled entirely. The band are stuck in France and won't be able to make it back to Zurich in time. They have tried their best to make up for the cancelled show on June 18th but appearently it was not meant to be. Now, obviously you have a right to be upset but before you go taking it out on the band, they have been trekking through Europe trying to make this show happen and it's just as frustrating (or maybe even more) for them as for you."
Exodus will continue their Shovel Headed Kill Machine tour after everything is sorted out.

Exodus - Heathen's Guitarist Join The Band
As widely expected, veteran San Francisco Bay Area thrashers EXODUS have now officially announced the addition of guitarist Lee Altus (HEATHEN, ex-DIE KRUPPS) to the group's ranks.
"Lee has been a great friend of mine for many years and is also one of the greatest guitarist I've had the pleasure of knowing," EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt said in a statement. "He was not only the best guy for this job, he was the only one. No one else was ever considered. His leads are totally ripping on the new album and I am looking very much forward to working with him on new music soon. He is a rhythm crusher as well as a shred machine so things are going to be heavy as hell!
EXODUS recently parted ways with guitarist Rick Hunolt due to Rick's desire to concentrate on his family life.
As previously reported, EXODUS have set "Shovel Headed Kill Machine" as the title of their upcoming album, due on October 5 via Nuclear Blast Records. Recorded at Trident studios in Pacheco, California and mixed by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, ARCH ENEMY), the follow-up to 2004's "Tempo of the Damned" is the band's first to feature Altus, ex-SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph and new singer Rob Dukes.

Exodus - Announces New Vocalist
Exoudus have founded a new vocalist, there is the statement take it from the band site:
"I'd like to take this moment to welcome to our ranks Rob Dukes as our new vocalist. He has been absolutely crushing in practice and only gets stronger every day. I know some of you will want details, i.e. what bands has he been in, ect., but I'll have to get back to you on that one. I've heard some of his old demo stuff, but he is a virtual unknown. But he is going to blow peoples minds. He does incredible justice to both Paul and Zetro's material but when you hear the new shit you won't believe your ears. Totally crushing! To all who sent in their demos and such I'd like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time. But now our search is over. Rob just happened to end up my guitar tech for the Megadeth tour after things didn't work out with my first tech. Rob was refered to me by a friend at the Hollwood show and the rest is history. Divine intervention if you will! We will be recording some demos of a few new songs next week and if everything stays on track we will be in the studio recording the next album in April.

Exodus:Steve Souza was Fired
Steve Souze is out of Exodus, here is a message post by Gary Holt on Exodus official forum:
"Okay people, the word has leaked, so I'm here to give you a brief rundown.
Let me give you an idea of what we've had to deal with as far as that fat motherfuckin' shit brick is concerned. He pulled out of going to Mexico city only about twenty four hours before were ready to leave, saying " I'm not getting on the plane, you'll see me on Thursday to go to South America." He lied to our manager, saying that he had talked to me already about this, which was a totall lie. He then ducked every fuckin' phone call and just hid out. The promoter had already paid a non-refundable 8 thousand dollars for the room and it would have been a disaster to have canceled. None of this mattered to that miserable piece of shit. The only thing he cares about is himself and money. If only you could have heard some of the shit that has come out of his fat pie hole over the last couple of years. Things like " Why does Jack get the same money as me, who the hell is he anyway?" "We should hire a body guard for South America", " If the fans want more than 12 songs out of me they should pay more money, they are getting their moneys worth already!", "Why is Gary in the front of this promo picture,I should be in the front, that's copyright infringement!", (true! he said that!). There is soooo much more shit you wouldn't believe it. This motherfucker sat backstage and cried at Provinsi rock fest in Finland like a pussy. Waaaaaah! Now you can keep your fat fuckin' ass at home and go off your Atkins diet ( like it's working lard ass!) and blow up as much as you'd like! If he had been a man and finished his commitments and said that it's too hard and he can't do it anymore I'd have shaken his hand and wished him well, but not now. He is the enemy. I hate him more than I've ever hated anyone on this planet. He is human crap. Fuck him. Some people wonder what will happen now. Well this band will continue. As for tight nit unity! The show in Mexico was the most liberating moment in my career, not have to listen to him bitch and complain once! And you know what? The crowd did not care. But I am not quitting. This is MY band ( the thing that he hated most), I write the songs and I've got some crushing new shit written already. So fuck that pussy. Zetro is dead, love live Exodus"
