Montreal-based extreme metallers Kataklysm have unveiled the complete tracklist for their multidisc DVD entitled The Iron Will: 20 Years Determined. The DVD will be released on July 3rd and will feature a documentary and bonus CD materials. The set will depict the ups and downs of the band's long, turbulent career, as well as footage of Kataklysm's performance at last year's Summer Breeze festival, which took place August 18-20, 2011 in Dinkelsbühl, Germany.

The work entitled 66 Ways To Redemption will include nine versatile songs connected in one strong concept. The plot of the story is held in secret. Norwegian progressive death metal band In Vain has issued the following update: "Hi guys, some news on what's going on in the In Vain camp. We are well under way with the songwriting for the new album. So far J. Haaland has 6 songs more or less finished, and there is more to come. This time around we will do a preproduction, which is new to In Vain. Haaland has already started recording the guitars and bass, and Nedland will soon join to add vocals. We will try to finish the preproduction during the summer, and aim to enter the studio this autumn."

The band posted the following update: "The recording of the new Nominon album is certainly moving on after a bit chaotic change of studio in the very last minute (due to some incompetent losers at the studio we had booked to start with), so with a very short notice we could start the recordings with engineer Robert Ericsson at Studio Hell, a small studio located here in Jönköping, Sweden. We actually used that studio for the latest 7" EP Manifestation Of Black, and since then the studio itself has been upgraded, that somehow was necessary before we felt that we could use it for a proper album recording."

On the way to their show tonight in Marshall, Texas members of Bow Prometheus were in a serious car accident. We don't have many details at the moment... but their merch guy, roadie, friend, and supporter Blake Gassett has passed away. Rusty, lead singer for Bow Prometheus, has sustained serious injuries and is currently in the hospital. Our hearts go out to these guys and we wish and hope for a speedy recovery for Rusty.
