Ahab - Update From The Band

German doom masters Ahab have entered the Überwälder Klangdressur studio to begin recording their as-yet-untitled follow-up album to The Divinity Of Oceans. The band has now checked in from the recording process with the following brief update: "We've finished the drum recording and the bass recordings and it sounds outstanding. Today Heci will follow with the guitar recording. There will be some pics later this week."

D.R.I. - Spike Cassidy Admitted To Hospital Due To Colectomy Complications

US punk/crossover thrash metallers D.R.I.'s guitarist and founding member Spike Cassidy is in the hospital recovering from complications after a colectomy (removal of entire colon) performed earlier this month. The recovery process may interfere with the band's future touring plans.

Paradise Lost - Announce UK Tour With Insomnium

British gothic metallers Paradise Lost will be touring the UK this April performing tracks from their forthcoming album Tragic Idol as a build up to its official release on April 23rd via Century Media Records. Finnish melodic death metallers Insomnium will be the main support. To celebrate the event, the band will have a very limited number of VIP tickets available (10 per show) which you can purchase online at their official website on February 1st.

Ragnarökkr Metal Apocalypse - Line-Up Completed

The Ragnarökkr Metal Apocalypse is America's greatest true metal festival. The 2012 line-up is like no other seen outside of Europe. The festival is scheduled for May 18th and 19th in Joliet, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Impending Doom - New Lyric Video Online

"For The Wicked", a brand new lyric video from US deathcore/death metal band Impending Doom is now available online for viewing below. The track is the first single from the band's fourth full-length album Baptized In Filth, which will be released on March 13th via eOne Music.

The album was produced by Andreas Magnusson (The Black Dahlia Murder, The Famine) and was mixed by Machine, who has previously worked with Lamb Of God, Suicide Silence and Demon Hunter, among others.
