Trail Of Tears - Complete Work On New Album

Norwegian gothic metal quintet, Trail Of Tears, have finished the recordings for their upcoming new album.

The band posted the following on their MySpace page: "The recordings for the still untitled 7th Trail Of Tears album has been completed in Sound Suite Studio in Marseille, France, with producer Terje Refsnes! Cathrine came through the extreme schedule with flying colours, putting the finishing vocals on the end result and delivered a performance for the history books!"

Judas Priest - To Release Special Compilation Album

British heavy metal legends Judas Priest announced the release of a special compilation album entitled The Chosen Few. The songs were chosen by some of the biggest names of the hard rock/heavy metal world, who picked their favorite Judas Priest songs for the band's forthcoming compilation album. The Chosen Few will be out October 11th via Legacy/Sony.

Arsis - Frontman Sits Out Upcoming Tour, New Song Snippets Online

As previously announced, Virginia-based melodic tech death metal masters Arsis will be touring as part of the Frets Of Fury Tour this October with Firewind, White Wizzard and Nightrage. The band will be playing brand new never-heard-before material on the tour, but guitarist/vocalist Jim Malone will not be joining them on the run.

Sick Of It All - To Re-Record Old Songs For A New Compilation Album

New York hardcore legends Sick Of It All announced that they will be releasing a new record entitled Nonstop on October 31st in Europe through Century Media Records. The album will consist of twenty songs from the band's catalogue, which have been re-recorded by the band to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Speaking about Nonstop, drummer Armand Majidi stated: "This whole thing is partially because of working with Tue Madsen - the man who has finally made SOIA sound the way we should in the studio."

Hatesphere - Upcoming Single Available Online

The song "Smell Of Death", from the upcoming album of death/thrash act Hatesphere, The Great Bludgeoning, has been made available through the band's Facebook as well as on Youtube. The song is the first single off the new album set for release this September via Napalm Records.
