Soundgarden - Chris Cornell Dead At Age 52

The Associated Press just shared the shocking news that Soundgarden's frontman Chris Cornell has passed away. Cornell was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and formed Soundgarden back in 1984 with Kim Thayil and Hiro Yamamoto. He was also the vocalist of Audioslave and the short-lived Temple Of The Dog. Cornell also released four solo studio albums and a solo live album. According to his representative, Chris Cornell died on Wednesday night in Detroit at the age of 52. R.I.P.

Grunge icons Soundgarden have announced a spring U.S. tour, with support from The Pretty Reckless and The Dillinger Escape Plan. A special ticket pre-sale for fans who are signed up to SoundgardenWorld.com and ChrisCornell.com will launch today (February 28th) at 10:00 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, March 3rd at 10 a.m. local time.

Halestorm - Cover Metallica, Soundgarden, Whitesnake On New EP

Soundgarden - To Record New Album Next Year

Soundgarden have been working on a new album. During a recent appearance on "Whiplash", the KLOS radio show hosted by Full Metal Jackie, Soundgarden's frontman Chris Cornell confirmed that the band hopes to enter the studio early next year to record their long-awaited new album, which will be their first since 2012's King Animal, with the goal of releasing it later in the year.

Soundgarden - Members Launch New Group

A new band featuring some of rock's most celebrated names is planning to release a new album in November. Ten Commandos features Matt Cameron ( Soundgarden/Pearl Jam), Ben Shepherd ( Soundgarden), Alain Johannes ( Queens Of The Stone Age/Eleven) and Dimitri Coats (Off!). Soundgarden - New Album Coming In 2016

By now, you probably know that Soundgarden are about to release their long-awaited 3-CD rarities collection, Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path on November 24th. Among the set's seven unreleased tracks is a brand new recording, "Storm," recorded in May this year with producer Jack Endino in Seattle, still available here. Now the band has revealed "Twin Tower", which was recorded in 1988 during the Louder Than Love sessions and previously unreleased. Check it out!
