Drummer D'arn of Norwegian avantgarde metal band Dødheimsgard has been involved in a serious motor cycle crash. Reports indicate that he suffered a series of minor injuries and broke his arm which forced the band to cancel their appearance on this year's Wacken Open Air festival on very short notice.

Dødheimsgards slot at the Wacken Open Air 2012 has been filled by Red Fang who did play a full one-hour set in compensation.

Isis may have call it a day in 2010, but the good news is that there is a rarities collection of the band to be released in November by Ipecac Recordings. Temporal will be a retrospective collection of unreleased Isis rarities, remixes and videos. German power metal veterans Paragon have inked a deal with Napalm Records. The band's 10th full-length album Force Of Destruction is scheduled for an end of October release. The new full-length was produced by Piet Sielck (Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Iron Savior) at Powerhouse, Hamburg and will feature guest vocals on the bonus version of the song "Blood & Iron" by Kai Hansen and Piet Sielck. The last album the band released was 2008's Screenslaves.
