Hegemon - Recording New Album In August
Four years after the release of Contemptus Mundi, French black metallers Hegemon have announced that they will start recording its successor this August. This will be the band's fourth album and should be out through Season Of Mist. The band has a complete line-up again after welcoming their new drummer AD to the band in March, which replaced Pierre Beziat who passed away in 2010.

Kistvaen - Part Ways With Vocalist
Romanian black metal band Kistvaen has parted ways with their vocalist Stefan after four years of service. The band posted a brief statement on their Myspace: "Due to personal reasons, the vocalist Stefan is no longer a Kistvaen member. We wish him good luck and all the best in the future."

Cro-Mags - Show With Sick Of It All Cancelled Due To Violent Incident
According to BoweryBoogie.com, a hardcore show as part of the CBGB Festival at Weber Hall in New York featuring Sick Of It All, Cro-Mags and Vision Of Disorder, had to be cancelled on July 6th when Harley Flanagan, founding (and former) bass player of the Cro-Mags, reportedly entered the VIP Lounge with a knife and stabbed and injured current Cro-Mags bassist Mike Couls in the chest.

Stormlord - To Enter Studio In November
Italian symphonic black metal act Stormlord is set to enter the studio in November. The band has checked in with the following update about gearing up to enter the recording studio: "The rehearsal/demo songs of the new album are almost done and they sound awesome. It's something between Mare Nostrum and Supreme Art Of War, but with a lot of brand new ideas and a strong Mediterranean feel."
